Vacation Advice - Planning for an Affordable Beach Vacation! |
So, it's getting close to that time of year where you might be considering a vacation and the beach is sounding pretty good. However; you really don't know if you can afford something like this, especially something out of this country. If leaving the country is out of the question and even finding a nice place to go in the United States seems out of reach, think again. You can find a way to have your holidays to a beach come true and affordable at the same time.
There are a lot of beaches in this country that you can choose from. And most of them are wonderful places to go. So when you start planning your travel to a beach in this country start by taking into consideration the different things that you are looking for. Ask yourself if you want a beach that is more quiet or a place with lots going on? Do you have kids and does the beach need to be family friendly? How far are you willing to go away from home? If you have answers for these kinds of questions it's going to help you narrow down your search of beaches you can afford. Now take time out to find that beach you are looking for. Some of the best and most popular beaches can be found in places like North Carolina, Florida, California, and of course Hawaii. Remember however, the more popular a beach is the more likely that it's going to also be more expensive to spend time there. So do some good research. For instance the beaches and towns in the Pacific Northwest are definitely going to cost you far less than the beaches of Hawaii. After you have decided on what beach you want to travel to you will then have to go onto trying to find some place to stay. If you happen to be going with other friends or family members you might want to think about renting a beach house or condo so that you can share the costs. This can save you a lot of room over individual hotel rooms. You can get a better idea of prices if you research the different travel sites there are on the Internet. Next you are going to have to decide how you are going to get there. Are you going to fly, take a train or drive? So the expenses for these things need to be included in your overall budget. If you fly or take some other mode of transportation you need to know if where you are going is going to have a need for you to rent a car. Once you have figured these things out you will then need to make your reservations. No matter what beach you choose to visit, if it's the summer months you plan on going, rooms are going to book fast. You should also include in your budget other things like how much money you are willing to spend on different forms of entertainment, if you are going to shop, if yo plan to visit a spa, paying for entrance fees to attractions that might be at your location, your meals and any kind of parking costs there might be. You might also want to look into the different vacation packages that some of the discount travel sites might have to offer. By going through one of these sites you might be able to save a little more money than planning it all yourself. |

Holiday Tips - The Different Types of Vacations You Can Choose From! |
Anyone that works knows that by the time it comes around to taking a vacation you are more than ready for one. No matter what you do for a living, everyone needs some time off to be able to recoup from the year they just put in. Picking the right place for your budget is part of the fun and you shouldn't need to be stressed out no matter how much money you can afford to spend.
If you are on a tight budget, you might want to keep your holidays to staying in your own area instead of trying to plan a trip that might be across the country. There is absolutely no reason to put off a vacation if you feel you can only afford to go just a few hours away from home. You can still find ways to have fun whether it's at a campground or it's visiting the mountains or the ocean if you live in a state that has a shoreline. Even if you want to visit a city in your state that you've never been to before does not mean that you have to pay a lot of money for somewhere to stay. Plan on bringing your camping equipment and camp somewhere near the city you are interested in visiting. Sleeping under the stars at night sometimes has a lot more benefits than paying for four walls and a ceiling in a fancy hotel. If you have a little larger budget than just staying really close to home yet you still don't have enough to take on a full blown expensive trip, you might consider driving across country to a location you've never been to and a long the way you might discover a lot of things you didn't know about the United States before. Or you can just decide to visit one of the states that happens to border the state that you live in and find a great place to vacation that way. For instance consider visiting Las Vegas, Yellowstone or Yosemite National Parks, check out Seattle, where there are plenty of things to do, or if you love Shakespeare why not check out the famous Ashland, Oregon Shakespeare Festival. You might even consider a trip to the Florida Keys or visit the Smokey Mountains. There endless things to do that may take some travel but that also may be just outside your backyard. If you have the money to do it and there is no real budget to have to follow, then don't hesitate in taking that expensive trip. Give yourself that dream vacation by going somewhere you have always dreamed of going. Explore Hawaii or Alaska, take a trip outside of the United States and wherever you go make sure to plan for plenty of pampering time. And forget about saving money on accommodations, go all out and book yourself in a room where they put chocolate on your pillows and have a turn down service! |

Vacation Resources - Traveling to Hawaii on a Budget |
For a lot of people the thought of holidays to Hawaii is just a dream, something they think they probably could never afford. They more than likely have heard from others how expensive it is to visit Hawaii and to plan on spend more money on this type of vacation than if you were going to Europe. But if you plan it just right, you too can have your dream vacation in Hawaii, even on a budget.
The two biggest costs that you are going to have when planning travel to Hawaii are the airfare to get there and a place to stay. So the first thing you should do is to visit all of the different travel websites and see which one might be offering the best deal. One of these sites is bound to be offering a deal that you should be able to fit into a tight budget. Your best bet is to look for deals that are during the off season times. The slowest months for travel to Hawaii are September and October and this could be the best time for you. So if you are use to going on vacation in the peak summer months, convince yourself to change the time you go on vacation. After you have found the best deal on the tickets then you going to have to figure out where you are going to stay during your vacation. There are a variety of different ways you can do this. Most of the resorts in Hawaii have all of the same amenities and accommodations so it's best that you simply choose the one with the lowest prices available. Whatever you do, don't pick the hotel because the shops, beaches or restaurants offered there or in the vicinity. Remember all beaches are public beaches in Hawaii so it doesn't matter where you stay you will have access to any beach you want. One suggestion is to rent a condo since there will be less amenities to be paying for and it will also be more private. You also might want to check out expedia.com and travelocity.com for some sort of package deal. Sometimes you can find combination flight and lodging deals that are far cheaper than what you could put together yourself. The next thing you'll probably want to do is include a rental car in your plans. The best thing you should do is pick the smallest car with the best gas mileage available. If you think gas is expensive here, wait until you see how much it is in Hawaii. When you are traveling on a budget it's probably a wise think to limit your stay in Hawaii to just one or two of the islands. It is actually cheaper to fly to another island after you get to Hawaii and even if you stay on just one island there is plenty to see and do even on one island. Before you get there you should figure out what kinds of things there will be to do and how much they are going to cost. Make sure to set up a budget just for the things you plan to do and then make sure to book reservations for those things that require them. Try to limit the things you do that will cost money because there are still a lot of things to see and do that won't cost you a dime. Try not to fill up your vacation time with all the pay tourist things to do because sometimes you can have more fun simply checking out the island or islands on your own. If you want to do a little shopping on your trip make sure to stay away from all of the shops in the resorts, you're going to pay double or triple the amount you would elsewhere. So shop where the locals shop. When eating, try to stay away from all of the resort restaurants, there are plenty of other great places to eat locally. Also consider buying your own food and preparing it yourself a couple of times while you are there. |
