Now it seems that all of that has changed with all of it's luxury hotels and high end dining along with a variety of designer shops. However; if you still want to go check out Sin City and all it has to offer, you can still do it on a budget if you plan it just right.

One way to save a lot of money on your hotel price is to plan for your holidays to Vegas during a time in which a lot of tourists don't go. If you book your hotel in July or August during the hottest time of the year or in December before Christmas you will find that even the more expensive hotels are going to be dropping their room rates to get people to come and stay with them.

You should also try to make sure that you plan to come and visit during the week when the prices are lower. If you trip includes the weekends you are going to have to pay a huge increase in the amount of money for your room. The hotels up the prices of the rooms during Fridays and Saturdays.

Also consider signing up for a variety of different email promotions that you can find on the different hotel websites. If you do this prior to your arrival date you will get periodic emails from these hotels that might offer you some deals that you might want to use in order to save money on accommodations, meals and maybe even some shows in town.

Make sure to check all of the hotels, don't just stick with the ones on the strip. You can look into the prices for the downtown hotels and those off strip. Ones off the strip often offer free shuttles to take you to the strip as part of their accommodations package. So you could save a lot of money by doing this. The key here is you need to be a smart shopper when it comes to finding an affordable room in Vegas.

When you check into the hotel that you decided upon make sure not to be shy and ask them if there are any free upgrades. Many times during the off season the hotels will allow you to upgrade your room with extra amenities or a better view for the same price of your original room.

When you are there and plan to go out to eat in Vegas make sure you fill up on their breakfast buffets. This is usually the time of day when the food is the least expensive and is offered at just about all of the hotels in Vegas.

You should also look for Happy Hours around town where you will find a variety of bars and lounges offering great deals on their drinks and a variety of different appetizers that you might be able to get full on. You will also find a lot of low prices for food if you go and visit the Food Court in the Fashion Show Mall. There's a large variety of food that's not going to break the bank.

Also don't forget about hotel coupons that all hotels offer their guests. A lot of times there will be buy one get one free coupons that will really come in handy and consider finding out where all the locals hang out. More than likely they'll be hanging out at places with good food at lower prices.

There are a ton of things you can do and see while in Vegas. One thing you can do which can take days is to visit all of the hotels on the Strip. Each hotel has something unique to offer and so much of it is free as well. From the Bellagio's water entertainment and it's botanical gardens to the Mirage with it's volcano.

When wanting to see a show see if where you're staying doesn't offer two for one coupons for these as well or go during times of the day that the prices are lower. The prices during the peak evening hours of course are going to be more expensive.

And finally, if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of the bright lights and casino noise, rent a car, take a packed lunch and drive out to Red Rock Canyon for a some quiet and lovely scenery.

Vacation Advice - Planning for an Affordable Beach Vacation!

So, it's getting close to that time of year where you might be considering a vacation and the beach is sounding pretty good. However; you really don't know if you can afford something like this, especially something out of this country. If leaving the country is out of the question and even finding a nice place to go in the United States seems out of reach, think again. You can find a way to have your holidays to a beach come true and affordable at the same time.

There are a lot of beaches in this country that you can choose from. And most of them are wonderful places to go. So when you start planning your travel to a beach in this country start by taking into consideration the different things that you are looking for. Ask yourself if you want a beach that is more quiet or a place with lots going on?

Do you have kids and does the beach need to be family friendly? How far are you willing to go away from home? If you have answers for these kinds of questions it's going to help you narrow down your search of beaches you can afford.

Now take time out to find that beach you are looking for. Some of the best and most popular beaches can be found in places like North Carolina, Florida, California, and of course Hawaii. Remember however, the more popular a beach is the more likely that it's going to also be more expensive to spend time there. So do some good research. For instance the beaches and towns in the Pacific Northwest are definitely going to cost you far less than the beaches of Hawaii.

After you have decided on what beach you want to travel to you will then have to go onto trying to find some place to stay. If you happen to be going with other friends or family members you might want to think about renting a beach house or condo so that you can share the costs. This can save you a lot of room over individual hotel rooms. You can get a better idea of prices if you research the different travel sites there are on the Internet.

Next you are going to have to decide how you are going to get there. Are you going to fly, take a train or drive? So the expenses for these things need to be included in your overall budget. If you fly or take some other mode of transportation you need to know if where you are going is going to have a need for you to rent a car. Once you have figured these things out you will then need to make your reservations. No matter what beach you choose to visit, if it's the summer months you plan on going, rooms are going to book fast.

You should also include in your budget other things like how much money you are willing to spend on different forms of entertainment, if you are going to shop, if yo plan to visit a spa, paying for entrance fees to attractions that might be at your location, your meals and any kind of parking costs there might be.

You might also want to look into the different vacation packages that some of the discount travel sites might have to offer. By going through one of these sites you might be able to save a little more money than planning it all yourself.

How To Turn Your Next Business Trip Into a Vacation!

If you travel a lot because of your business you know just how often you can begin to dread the thought of having to travel in that plane over and over again. Dealing with all the hassles at the airports, dealing with jet lag, dealing with being away from your family and friends so often. All of these things can simply make the though of a business trip one of sheer drudgery. But, you can change that. You can look at it in a totally different light if you set your mind to it.

Since you are on a business trip a lot of the normal stress of planning for a trip is eliminated because generally it's your company that's going to take care of the airfare as well as where you will be staying. So this can give you plenty of time to decide what kind of pleasure that you can add to mix in with the dull drums of the routine of the business trip.

Of course you are going to know where your company is sending you on your business trip so why not take some time out before you go to do some research about the place you will be visiting. Check out what kind of neat attractions they might have or find out what is considered some of the good night spots there might be close by where you are staying. You can also figure out what good restaurants you can go to while on your trip so that you aren't just limited to what's offered at the hotel.

See if you can't include a couple of extra days on the trip, try to make those days at the end of the whatever business you are involved with during the trip. This means even if you end up having to pay for the room. This way you are giving yourself a little reward and at the same time you might have a little time to relax before returning home.

You should also find out what kind of room your company has booked you for. If you discover that it doesn't have everything that fits your needs it shouldn't be too hard to call the hotel up and see if they can't give you a room that offers more of what you want. Even the smallest detail can help make your stay a lot more pleasant.

If the weather is good during your trip, don't spend all of your time in the hotel room, even if you have some work that needs to be done, take that work with you outside so you can enjoy the great weather instead of being locked up with your work inside the hotel.

Consider getting together with the client or other business people who might be there and try experiencing something fun to do together to take the edge off the stress of doing nothing but business together. For example if the city you are in has a sports team of any kind and they're playing while you are there try and get tickets for a group and go out and enjoy the game together.

Try bringing some comfortable casual clothes, your camera and take some time being a tourist when there is a lull in your work. Forget about the work, forget about the meeting just get out and mingle with the locals and have some simple freedom and fun.

Top Ideas for Vacationing on a Budget

The economy is pretty lean right now and it probably has you wondering whether or not you shouldn't cancel your next vacation that you were hoping to take with your family. Everyone needs time to get away and get refreshed and it wouldn't be fair to yourself or your family if you canceled the vacation they may have been looking forward to. You can still go on that vacation if you just sit down and try to create a budget that will allow you to take that vacation and still enjoy yourself.

Probably one of the best things you can do when you are on a budget and planning a trip is to start early and begin saving money right away and keep saving it until it's time to take that vacation. Of course the more money you are able to save the more you'll be able to spend on the vacation. You should set down a savings total goal and try your best to meet that goal. Anything over that will be a special surprise.

With that total goal in mind you can then make a budget for your vacation based upon the money goal you set down for yourselves. Be sure to include different categories on your budget to represent different kinds of expenses you think you are going to encounter. The most common categories would be “Travel”, “Hotels”, “Food” and “Attractions”. Try and estimate how much you might expect to pay for these different categories.

Look at all of the categories that you come up with and make sure that you can cover it all and if not, are there some ways that you can trim down some of the cost of the items within the categories you are budgeting for.

While you are planning for your holidays to wherever it might be, try and find different coupons that can be used at your destination. Coupons can save you money on a variety of different things like hotels, tourist attractions and even places to eat.

Another way that you can help yourself save some money is to plan on preparing some of your own meals. As much as that doesn't sound like so much fun, it will save you a lot of money when it comes to how much it will cost you to eat out every day while you are on vacation.

Make sure that you decide early with regards to how you plan to travel to your destination. If you plan to travel in a plan you are going to need to book your reservations early if you are hoping to capitalize on getting any kind of fares that might be discounted.

If you are going somewhere that you might have family or friends living at try to arrange with them to stay with them while on vacation. If the whole time you are there is not good for them, at least try to arrange a few days with them so you can cut down on the hotel costs.

Try to visit as many tourist spots and attractions that simply don't cost any money to go see. A lot of museums for example don't charge entry fees and instead have donation boxes that people can donate money in.
